Adobe X Linkedin

We were approached to create a video illustrating the partnership between Adobe and Linkedin which culminated with a London conference to feel the pulse of client services in the digital era.

As per the brief, the video (1:1, for social purpose: Instagram and LinkedIn) consists of Intro, interview with Uk and Us top professional (vox pop), Outro.

We were provided with a raw version of the vox pop and the copy for the whole video.

Traditionally Adobe has a very precise approach to its animations and robust brand guidelines: thanks to our long-standing partnership with them, we didn’t have to get acquainted with it and the tight deadline could be met without problems.

The colour palette was naturally referencing Adobe, with an all present red. I didn’t want to take advantage of their extended colour palette as my idea was to play with basic colours and shapes: a minimal approach based on content.

When dealing with this kind of animation I often try to pair the content with a children game: after reading the script and watching the interview I realized that the main concept: “right service for the right client” was very much like placing the right shape in the right hole.

That is the why of squares, circles, triangles and their iterations being absolute protagonists and the presence of so many playful moments.

As usual the script helped in shaping the different sequences. I didn’t want a brutal stop to the funny mood created by the intro so the vox pop was enriched with animated text and coloured lines.

That served the purpose to fix the key concept of the professional answers as well. Apart from the animation, my intervention extended to vox pop editing (video and audio) and lower thirds.
